should I add that the macintosh has also allowed the space in filenames
since its inception? :) :)

I'm pretty sure we can find someone who will add their 2 cents for the
amiga, as well....

but I think Quintin's complaint stems from the fact that filenames in
windows live in 2 distinct worlds: windows and dos, and they don't play by
the same rules in both worlds...
