I know that this question has been asked a million times, I have looked
up all the answers to it, BUT none of them have seemed to work.
How can I get VNC to use ports OTHER then 5800 and 5900. Specifically
how can I make it use 80.
I have tried installing a proxy server on the host machine. That works
fine and all but it will only get me onto the java authorization screen
(my goal is to be able to use my computer from my school which has a
firewall installed on it). As soon as I try to send my password off it
times out (I believe it is trying to use port 5900).
I have tried editing the registy entries, no avail.
I need the java client to USE port 80, or some other standard internet
port that is accessible through a firewall. If I can get the java client
to use a unblocked port number I can program my proxy on my machine to
route the port to 5900. If you can help me with this or have any other
ideas that may help let me know!!!
Thanks a million,
Cameron Malchow
