Stephen,
I use CDE on my solaris box, and am usure if there are differences, but,
this is the TWO LINE command I use inside of a constantly running
"start-vnc" text file:
<total path>/Xvnc -geometry 800x600 -once -query XXXXX -cc 3 :3
<total path>/start-vnc
the secret here is the -once which causes vnc to die after you exit cde
and the -query command which sets you up via normal cde login. please note
the XXXXX is the name of the machine running Xvnc.
finally, so that there is a cde login screen around the next time you start
your vnc client, the file calls itself after Xvnc quits.
i also added a file called "S99avnc" to your equivelant of my "/etc/rc2.d/"
directory, with the following contents
<total path>/start-vnc &
which causes the start-vnc file to be executed at boot time, giving you a
vnc session you can connect to automagically.
