Hi Bob,

I've listened to your rant-like speeches for the last day or two and feel
it's about time you let this one drop... As well as flogging a dead horse
you're also flogging one of the creators of the application we're discussing
on the list. It is normal list-ettiquette to try and learn at least a little
about the subject before flaming someone - I have to admit I sure home Wez
doesn't take offence and call it a day...

Secondly, you're not being _insulted_ when someone suggests you "write it
yourself". It may have come to your attention that you're getting VNC for
*free* In the greater scheme of things, VNC is something called "Open
Source". This gives you the possibility of doing what-so-ever you wish with
the application - from removing the Task bar icon to completely redesigning
the application. It's common practice on open source projects to suggest
that someone makes a modification - that's what the whole thing's about - we
all benefit from the changes made to this project.

Maybe if you post *nicely* some generous programmer out there might be good
enough to mail you a version without the icon (please someone do it - to
reduce the rant percentage!) - I'd do it myself but I don't have Visual
Studio 6 (damn you Wez for moving to VC6!)

Later,
Colm.
