Question, Wez:

Is there any reason why the viewers (and I particularly have in mind
here the Windows viewer, which I am not equipped to recompile myself :-)
might not assume ':0' if presented with a bare machine name or IP
address? I'd like to be able to run VNCviewer from John Junod's
excellent, if apparently no longer available, WS Watch program, but it
doesn't allow me to specify the connect command string in such a
fashion that I can hardwire the :0 on after it supplies the address.

Would making that change break anything for anybody?

I can't see that it would be semantically dangerous...

Cheers,
