How to cut-and-paste on vnc'ed X session using Windows viewer

Hi!

Last night, I finally installed VNC on my machines. I use it to run X
applications on our internal Linux server that is stacked away
console-less in a closet from my Windows NT desktop box. It seems to
work like a charm.

However, when I try to copy text from one Xterm to another, it
doesn't seem to operate as desired. I can mark text in the source
Xterm, but neither the right nor the middle mouse button seem to do
the paste into the target window.

I don't have too much clues about X, having been a UNIX console geek
mostly. Do I have to configure that feature with the window manager I
am running on the Unix box or is this a vnc issue?

Unfortunately, I can't verify this locally since the UNIX box doesn't
have a display.

Oh, btw, am I right when I assume that there is no option to run an
xterm in its own Windows window, e.g. using what was called "seamless
windows" on OS/2 and is now known as using Windows as a local window
manager?

Any hints will be appreciated.

Greetings
Marc
