Disabling Local Input

I have an NT box without keyboard, mouse and monitor.
It only has a power lead and an utp cable .
It works perfectly with vnc

But when this setup boots it complains about=20
the fact that it cant run the keyboad/ mouse drivers
which is quite ok since there are none ...

the fix this i removed these drivers.
and all is ok.

what was wondering about though is if=20
this will prevent local acces through a real
keyboard/mouse ... since there aren't any drivers installed ..

i'll try it out ...

Hi Chris,

This is quite a frequent question, but I'm afraid you can't do it at
present.  I've just added the following section to the FAQ:

Q. Can I arrange for the local physical screen, keyboard & mouse on my
WinVNC server to be disabled when I'm accessing it remotely?

A. We don't know of a way to do this which will still allow us to
read the screen and inject fake input events from WinVNC.  If you have
any code which might help, we'd be pleased to hear from you!  Until
then, if this aspect of security is important, we can only recommend
that you consider other options such as password-protected screen
savers, lockable keyboards, turning off the screen, unplugging the
keyboard, or other physical security devices.
