VNC is (as I understand it) out of the concept and into development. AT&T
research labs create new concepts (think-tank style). So when a great idea
(like VNC) hits development, it's kinda out of there hands.

Also, VNC uses GPL licensing. Instead of complaining about not having a
feature, why don't you just program it yourself and submit the changes
back to the maintainers? As the saying goes, `Use the source, Luke!'
