I got Open Transport 1.3.0 once from Apple's developer section - I decided
to look it up again, and found it buried several levels deep. OT 1.3 is
considerably ahead of the 1.1.x's, and unoficially works with System 7.5.5
or later (I've gotten it succesfully running on that version).
It can be obtained from
ftp://ftp.apple.com/developer/Tool_Chest/Networking_-_Communications/Open_Transport_1.3_sit.hqx
This includes the software installer as well, so you won't need to do
anything manually.
Cheers!
