Clipboard Unix<->Windows (was: Re: Newbie)

Here's what I tried:  highlight text in a Nedit window, use Nedit's
Edit->Copy menu to put it on the clipboard, use F8 to bring up the popup
menu in WinVNC, select "copy clipboard remote->local", then use Notepad's
Edit->Paste menu item.  I got one long line with linefeeds between each
text line.  Same if I pasted into a Quattro spreadsheet.  This is with the
vncserver on an HP-UX 10.20 box (remind me to post my, er, adventures
getting it built) and WinVNC on NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3.
