Is normal that WinVNC server crash so many times?

I'm sure that is VNC, after I worked directly on the Win box with no
problem.
I'm using the same color depth on the 2 machines 16bit.
The problem is that a short period of work I got an error from the
application that is running on Win and I have to close it, after also
Explore got an error and then then machine freeze.
I think that doesn't matter if the monitor isn't linked !?
Which is your Win configuration? Maybe it will help.
