Is VNC really secure?

Hello list,
Seems like I, and many others, need to make my servers a bit more secure...
Could anyone (re)post the reference to the SSL setup instructions? I didn't
find them on the vnc website, or through deja.com. There was also a mention
of ssh-tunneling recently. I am now sorry I didn't keep the messages.
What about incoporating some encryption as an option in a future release?
Thanks,
Wai
