I am having a problem with getting a connection to a server running Windows
2000. I have downloaded the latest VNC software 3.3.3 R2 which stated on the
download web page to be for Win 9x\2000\NT for Intel\Win32.
We run VNC as a service and it is started. I have checked all the IP settings
including DNS and I have tried connecting by its IP address and by server name.
I have tried using a variety of different port numbers. When using port
settings 5800 and 5900 and I get the message "Connection Closed" from VNCviewer
and from Netscape web browser. I can use VNC from the Windows 2000 machine to
get remote control of other NT4 machines and it works fine but I can't get
remote control of the Windows 2000 machine from and NT4 machine.
Does anybody know if VNC works with Windows 2000 yet or am I doing something
wrong?
