VNC from behind routers

I have two networks of WIndows machines in two office locations.

Both offices have Internet connections and routers in the offices.

I need to be able to use VNC from Office 1 to see machines in Office2.

I have "exported" the machines/ports on the Office2 router. I can use VNC to
control these machines from a dial-up account.

If I attempt to do the same from Office1 - then the viewer hangs (either the
java or .exe version).

I am assuming that this is a router configuration problem in Office1. But I
do not know enough about router configuration to understand the problem.

Can anyone help ?

If there is someone local to London E1 that could help me out - I would be
very grateful.
