Your From: line seems correct to me. Below I included some of the
header from your message as I received it. Notes sets internet
addresses at the SMTP gateway, and there is generally not much the
user can do about what comes across. For a notes account your from
is incredibly clean (no "name/blah/dep/company/..." <internet style
address"

--header lines--
From: Shane Lenagh <Shane.Lenagh.B "at" bayer.com>
To: " - *vnc-list "at" uk.research.att.com"
<vnc-list "at" uk.research.att.com>
Sender: owner-vnc-list "at" uk.research.att.com
--header lines--

Your to is strange, but within the SMTP specs, you have "" around the
strange stuff, the real address, used in routing in inside the <>.

Majordomo puts a "Sender:" line on all messages and it is recommended
that filters use this line, which will always be "Sender:
owner-<listname>@<list server> rather than filtering on recipient.
This is because there are so many ways that a message may get to a
list, the list name may be in the To, CC, or no standard header but
the "Sender:" line will ALWAYS be in a list produced by a Majordomo
mailing list. NOTE, I have found that the part after the @ is more
likely to change, if say the list moved servers, while the owner
rarely changes.

My filters for mailing lists are all set up on the Sender line if the
list has one (of 30 lists only one does not have a Sender line, this
one does have one), and I have never gotten a misfiltered message.
