Small matter of being unable to connect

Hi all,

  Just a quick question which I'm sure has been asked before but I can't
find any record of.
I'm having trouble with being able to log into a WinNT server when it is
at the initial login prompt.  I have other machines which I have been
able to get into from there but not this one.  Same problem when I log
off the current user (it boots me off, as expected, but I am then unable
to log back in).  I keep getting the "VNC authentication failed"
message.

Any help would be appreciated.
