VNC / PCAnywhere Issues?

Hello,

I am a contractor working for Bayer Corporation.

We have many PC's here that we need to access, some near, some far away. Right
now we have a limited number of PCAnywhere licenses. My boss is considering
purchasing more, but I told him about VNC and he was genuinely interested. He
is not what you would call "anti-Microsoft" at all; quite the opposite. He is
also not a huge free software person. But he is cheap. So VNC really piqued
his interest.

My question is: Are there any known issues with VNC and PCAnywhere coexisting
on the same machine? The ONLY reason we want to do this is that I can't get
the damn PCAnywhere client (or server) to run on my machine, but VNC -- of
course -- runs without a hitch. So I want to access this server with VNC.
There are other people here (who aren't as excited about VNC as I am) who would
just assume keep using PCAnywhere to access this server. So we want to keep
both running, to make everyone happy. Eventually (if I had my
way...muahahaha), we may all be using VNC. But that is more a political issue
than anything. Right now I just want to get my job done.

Anyone know of any conflicts? I know VNC is pretty minimal with what it relies
on, and I don't think it installs any DLL's outside of its ORL folder (am I
right on this?), so it shouldn't overwrite anything. Right?
