I was wondering if anyone has worked on this, please let me know. I have
recently used VNC in a very innovative way (I think.) I have used VNC
connected to security cameras throughout my company to give managers and
security personnel the ability to remote view this cameras over a WAN. ADT
and Chubb security wanted over $3000.00 each, I spent just over $300.00, to
setup this capability and additional cost for each node viewing the cameras.
What a cost savings VNC has been!! Not to mention the R/C it is designed
for. The only problem is that the protocol VNC uses is pretty slow(
compared to RDP and ICA, for instance) and I think it would really speed
things if the entire screen didn't have to be redrawn. Please send your
suggestions, and if anyone is curios how I did this, let me know.
