Interesting use of VNC

Hi,

In the cool things people are doing with VNC department: workspot.net
is offering free use of VNC to the world. The user has a Linux/KDE
account on the server. Access to the account is over the web with
Java-VNC displaying the user's desktops in the local browser.

It looks to me like an interesting solution to the XDM over VNC issues.
A user can have several Xvnc servers running and choose which to use.
The session then stay active until deleted. I wonder how/if they store
destops that haven't been used in a while... do they save them or just
let them be swapped out?

They are still in beta; it seems that their development work is GPL.

I have no relation to workspot, except that I think its neat.
