VNC with KDE

OK, I know this is more of of a KDE question than a VNC question, but here
goes...
When running VNC viewer 3.3.3 under KDE 1.1.2, Alt-Tab gets swallowed by
KDE, so it switches tasks on the client (KDE) side. After that, if I am
running the viewer in full-screen mode, I can't Alt-Tab back to it. The
only way to get back to it is to iconify every window. But even then, the
mouse works in the viewer, but the keyboard does not. I can't even hit F8
to popup the menu to switch back to non-full-screen mode. Is there any
way to get KDE to send my keystrokes back to the viewer? Alt-Tab is one
of the few keystrokes that I can't seem to re-map under KDE. I don't have
this problem running the viewer under FVWM2.
Thanks in advance. If I don't get an answer here, I guess I'll try the
KDE list.
