Well actually I had posed the question to know the exact response from most
of the VNC users, but got very few ones (hardly 6).
You all must of used VNC on a unix system with XWindows and must have been
satisfied by the results.
Recently I tried out an experiment on my Linux Server running XFree86 with
WindowMaker. I was running a few office apps as well as netscape navigator.
I gave access to 5 users running Win9x with vncviewers and asked them to
carry out certains tasks such as visiting a site, creating documents and
spreadsheets. Well I had not expected it, but the server supported all 5
users excelently.
Around the same time I came across the SunRay1 from Sun Microsystems (@
http://www.sun.com/sunray1) It is something that can be done with vncserver
running on Unix with Windows clients.
Please check out the web site and let me know what you think about it.
Me and two other friends of mine are thinking of implementing VNC in along
the lines of SunRay1.
Awaiting your replies.
Regards.
