SSH under winvnc (or the other way around)

Hey folks...

I am running ssh on NT and an ssh client (terraterm pro). I have
terraterm forwarding the port for vnc... it works great... however,
it's much slower than normal. Is there anything I can do to speed it
up? I'm running on a 10mbps lan for this connection.
