dead keys under the java viewer

Hi,

i'm new to this list and have a question to the Java Viewer. ( Searching the 
archive always timed out for me :-( )

The Problem: On a Linux box i start the vncserver + a special X11 application.

When i connect with the linux or windows vncviewer, everything worked as 
expected. If i use the java viewer ( direct or in netscape ) all keys with 
modifiers or german umlauts does not work. :-(

Has someone a solution for this problem ??????

( i need help )
