LinuxPPC 5.0 will introduce glibc2, the most modern set of shared libraries
available for Linux.
By having glibc2, developers will have a host of new modern services to
work with, and cross-platform development will be easier, since LinuxPPC
will have the same code base as other Linux platforms. (Release 4.0 and 4.1
the older libc5.)
