I have vnc config'd and running on a RH 5.1 drive and I'm working on a
bigger harddrive with RH 5.2 and vnc will view but not work as server.
I have the class files in the proper directory and have vncserver in my
'path' and when I type 'vncserver',
I get a response of "new 'X' desktop is linuxbox:1" which is correct
'but' I have
no Xvnc running when I 'ps aux'. I get the 'failed to connect to
server error' when I try to view linuxbox:1 All tcp/ip is running
fine.

Perl is in the proper directory as well.

When I 'vncserver -kill :1' I get the following:

killing Xvnc process ID 969 <---obviously this changes the # each
time I kill
kill 969: no such process

I went back and checked ps aux after starting the server and there was
no 969 running at all. Please help. Btw... I'm 5 months new to Linux
so be nice :)

Thanks
