bad display name

Christian,

I ran into the same problem on SuSE 6.1, kernel 2.2.9.

You need to specify the server number that you want to use on the command
line, i.e. 'vncserver :2' or whatever is an available X display number. Do
that and everything seems to work OK, a bit slow if you are using the KDE
environment, but OK.

I believe that vncserver is supposed to automagically detect the next
available display number and start Xvnc accordingly if run with no arguments. I
haven't been able to figure out why it doesn't under SuSE, maybe an environment
variable is being set differently?
