Did you install VNC-server as an NT service?

Subject: connection problem
Hi,
I'm a newbie with vnc. I'm using the win32 server on NT4 SP4 and the windows
viewer on both win95 and 98.
My problem is that whenever i try to connect to my server i get the message
'Connection closed'. This is after entering my password.
I have search the mailing list archive so i know that has been asked before,
but i couldn't find an answer.
if it helps, this is the log file produced by the viewer:
Started and Winsock (v 257) initialised
bufsize expanded to 4352
Registered connection with app
--------------- now it asks for VNC server
Connected to MyHostNameHere port 5900
reading 12 bytes
RFB server supports protocol version 3.3
writing 12 bytes
Connected to RFB server, using protocol version 3.3
reading 4 bytes
reading 16 bytes
--------------- now it asks for the password
writing 16 bytes
reading 4 bytes
VNC authentication succeeded
Clipboard changed
Don't send initial clipboard!
writing 1 bytes
reading 24 bytes
--------------- now i get the message 'connection closed'
Deregistered connection from app
Exiting
VNC viewer closing down
I have tried this from 2 machines, so it's probably not the viewer. I've also
tried setting up win98 server and that works fine.
All connections are over the internet - not a LAN. I'm really hoping someone
can help me here as the server is about 150 miles away - as allways it worked
fine when i was stading over it.
The only thing i can think of is that the screen saver on the server might be
causing a problem, but it doesn't change resolution and the server is not
running as a service.
So i'm a bit stuck. Any advice would be really appreciated.
cheers.
