Thanks for the response. I got it working, but with a slight "gotcha" to
look out for. There is an Option button that shows up at the top of the
viewer window in my browser. But it will allow a "Share desktop" setting
only if set BEFORE password authentication. Once the java viewer runs and
shows the Xvnc server, the "Share desktop" setting is greyed out and not
changeable.

: Sometimes they can appear to be a solid colour when they are in fact

No, I tried changing the title bar to plain blue. I suspect that my network
connection is not at rated speed. Incidentally, I see a "QImage::color:
Index 255 out of range" line in the log file, which I've partially listed
below in case you see anything obviously wrong. Thanks so much again for
the help.
