16 bit (Windows 3.1 and DOS) VNC clients

The protocol itself is pretty simple, and it shouldn't be _that_ hard a
work. Needless to say, both Java and Tcl/Tk (or any similar solutions) are
inevitably doomed due to the sloppiness of the target platform. On the
other side, there are literally millions of vintage PCs which might
usefully be recycled in intelligent VNC clients.
I am now looking at integrating all the patches in both the Win32 and the
UNIX versions - if only I could get some _predictable_ spare time to rely
on....
Another (small) problem: what about keystrokes which are not mapped on the
client platform? I am not referring to Ctrl-Alt-whatever, but to humbler
"` ~ { }" (or to PF keys), which in some keyboard configurations are not
available - a "send key" facility might be a boon in these cases.
Best regards to you all, and my kudos for such a cute program.
