connection closed

Ahhh that would explain things a little better.  I must have it installed as a
service to be able to connect to it from a different subnet correct?  That would
explain at least why I could connect as long as I was on my laptop and sitting
right next to the server.   Sorry if I did not explain myself properly, I meant
that I am not able to install as a service.  When I go to a dos prompt and do
"winvnc -install"  I get an error that "winvnc could not be installed as a
service."  Thanks for your help
