Linux display problem

Hi all,
I've been running a vncserver on a Red Hat 4.2 linux box for ages -
using the FVWM desktop. However, today I tried to get it running on a
different server which is running Red Hat 5.1.
I can access the display / desktop ok (after sorting out a font problem
to begin with - no 100dpi fonts installed). But no matter what I do,
when I connect to the vncserver from a Win95 viewer, the display is
always black & white. I don't mean as in greyscale/monochrome, I mean
the colours are either solid black or solid white.... I've also tried
uncommenting the "-co /usr/lib/X11/rgb" option in the vncserver script
but no luck (there is no such file on this system as /usr/lib/X11/rgb,
buth there's a /usr/lib/X11/rgb.txt - tried both with the same result).
Any suggestions anyone? I feel like I've missed something *really*
obvious, but can't think what....
Cheers,
- Brendon.
