Well, I've now found an undocumented (as far as I can tell) function 
EngLoadImage which is used by the system to load a video driver. Any stub/proxy 
driver that was created would have to use EngLoadImage to load the other driver.
Quite what this actually entails, I haven't worked out yet. I'm looking at this 
in my spare time, so progress from me is likely to be slow :->

Quite. I personally think that's one of the huge pluses for VNC.
