Ivan, 

Yes, the driver idea is a good one, but would require rather more time 
than we can devote to it at present.  The chief problem, I imagine,
would be how this new driver would relate to the real video driver.

There's also something to be said for the fact you can normally install
WinVNC without even rebooting Windows, and even run it from a floppy
without a full install.  That certainly wouldn't be the case with the
'driver' method, and I don't like to think of the possible support
problems if we start playing with users' video drivers!
