i would like to have multiple users run a java app on our unix server
(solaris). because many of our client machines are rather thin (e.g. old
macintoshes and PCs) they cannot support the java app running on their
machine. i'm also concerned about the performance of the java app runniong
on a client.
for these reasons, running multiple instances of the java app on the unix
server seems like a good idea. can i use VNC servers to have several
people log into the server, each of them running the java app in x windows.
do i have to buy X server software or will VNC do the trick?
