Is there a known problem with WinVNC 3.2.2 r2 and 16 bit apps on a Win 95
machine ?
I have a problem with one 16 bit application (QuickBooks V5.0) where it fails to
update its windows correctly and can lockup the WinVNC server. Looks like it's
violating WinVNC's expectations as to update hooks.
I've checked the FAQ and documentation and fiddled all the settings with mixed
results. Whole screen update setting gets it half working. However, what it does
not fix is the lockup experienced when I click the mouse in some windows created
by this application.
Further, (and this is probably the key to the problem) I could find no entry
created for this application in the Application_prefs key in the registry. All
the other (32 bit) applications I've been running appear to have been caught by
WinVNC and defaults initialized here, but this application appears to go
unoticed by WinVNC.
Any clues ?
Many thanks, Bruce.
