Can anyone advise me with this question?
I'm new to vnc and I must say at first glance it's damm good (AND
FREE).
My question is concerning running the viewer. If I use vncviewer FROM
a sparcstation running solaris 2.5.1 and connect to a WinNT PC I get
the screen the user would see. This is after all the reason I'm
looking at it, remote support etc....
My problem is when I use the viewer to connect to a solaris server
all I get is an xterm window and NOT the users screen that started
the vncserver. Is there a way to display the Unix users screen as it
is on HIS terminal, as it is on an NT session.
ALSO is there an electronic version of a users manual for vnc. I've
looked around the orl web site and can't find anything except FAQ's
and quick start pages.
Regards
