VNC for IRIX 5.3?

Hello...  I'm trying to get VNC running on a few machines running IRIX 5.3
and can't seem to get it going.  I've followed the directions that were
given on the old contribs page for VNC 3.3.1 under IRIX 6.2 (which I've
also tried it on without any better results), but of course I can only
find the source for 3.3.2, and it just isn't working.  When I go for the
big old "make World," it spews forth much code with many lines of hyphens
jumbled in.  Does anyone have a binary which works?  If so, I'd really
appreciate it if you could send it my way!
