Deployment on desktop machines

Hello.

I'm about to deploy NT 4 Workstation on to every staff members PC in my
department. (100+ machines)
As part of this deployment I'm thinking I could lump the VNC service
with it as standard to avoid some travel as we only have 3 IT people to
cover 6 separate campuses with not very IT literate staff.
Are there any issues that I should be aware of before doing this?
security, technical or otherwise?
Has anybody done this? Is it recommended?
