Not sure about the status bar under Iris, but if WinVNC is not running as a
service then Ctrl-Alt-Del does not work (even if the status bar is there).
The Java client listens on port 5900 + whatever display you give it - so
your URL should be: http://mymachine.mydomain.org:5900
