 I compiled the standard UNIX version on Solaris 2.6 Intel with no
 problems at all - it's just like the Sparc version of Solaris.
 I used gcc 2.8.1

 If you have no compiler, then go to http://www.sunfreeware.com/ (I
 used the compiler there to bootstrap an installation of gcc 2.8.1
 that fits in better with our local directory structure).

 I could maybe tar up our precompiled one, if you like.
