Hello,
I am trying to use the vnc server on a Sparc5 running RedHat 5.2. The
source compiles without complaint once I modify the linux.cf file in
the Xvnc/config/cf directory. Here are my modest changes:
#define OptimizedCDebugFlags -O2
#define LinuxMachineDefines -D__sparc__
#define DefaultLinuxCLibMajorVersion 6
that get read in. I copied these from the linux.cf file that comes
with the XFree86 server in RedHat.
Once I run it though I have problems with the fonts, and opening new
windows. The inital xterm has unreadable fonts. The popup menus are
very garbled and the server very unstable.
Is there some set up defines that I should make that will work? I
noticed in the FAQ that someone had mentioned everything working
smoothly with RedHat4.2 (which I don't believe as I tried this under
4.2 with similar results) so please don't point me there.
Thanks for any help,
John Verzani
