You don't need to install VNC on any other box for you to be able to
run the X Window System on a Windows 95 box.

You can get X software to run on Windows 95 without having to run VNC
on the same machine, or any other machine.

However, if you have the VNC viewer application on your Windows 95
box, about the only thing it can do is access displays served by one
of the VNC server applications which implement the server portion of
the VNC protocol. Such displays can be on a machine running the X
Window System. (It could also be a machine not running the X Window
System, such as another Windows 95 machine or a Macintosh.)

Accessing a remote X display from your PC using VNC is not the same as
running the X Window System on your PC, but I am assuming you will
actually be happy to do the former.
