fontpath problems (was: Re: found RedHat 5.2 vnc server problem

Debian, at least my installation of it (v2.1) doe snot have the font
"fixed".  
Would this cause the error about failing to set the path ?

And where might I find this font ?  (I checked the packages, and installed
one, but didn't find it)
