HELP regarding colors

I have just begun experimenting with VNC to see how well it works.  It
apparently works well for general productivity.  Productivity aside, it
seems less suitable for games.  I have established a Win9x to Win9x
connection over which I have run Blizzard Software's Starcraft.  While
the display seems organized correctly, the colors are entirely wrong.
I tried changing color depths and resolutions, but the symptoms stayed
constant.  Searching through the VNC mailing list archive yielded some
mention of a difference between true and pseudo colors, yet I am not
certain as to how such would be applicable in this case.  I am not at all
concerned with the VNCviewer dying on resolution changes, but I am
concerned about the failure of VNC to display colors properly.
