Freeware equivalent to SharedX or X/TeleScreen???

I guess I have been working with HPUX a little too long when it
came as a major shock to me that SharedX is an HP product and not
something that I can just grab the source for and compile on my
new linux box.

The only thing equivalent to SharedX that I found on the web was
X/Telescreen but it is commercial.

So now I am in search of a tool (freeware of course) that is
equivalent.  Anyone know of any????  

I am already aware of VNC (which is awesome by the way), but it
doesnt allow me to only share selective windows.
