Really? With r2 on my machine, the first time I ran it, the
properties dialog box came up, I configured the password, clicked OK
and the box disappeared but I was still able to connect remotely.
The next times I started it, the cursor would change to an
hourglass and then back to normal, and it appeared as if nothing
happened, but the machine was accepting connections. Also, trying to
double click the icon again resulted in a "Another instance of VNC is
already running" message. However, I could never close it without
restarting the machine.

Never changed any of the options except for the password. It is
fine when run as a process and everything updates fine
screen wise. But when I run it as a service I have to use
"Poll Full Screen" which slows things down, or otherwise opening and
closing Windows does not update the screen until I move the mouse
over top of them, and then only a small square section is updated as
the mouse pointer moves. But no matter, I prefer for right now using
the process anyways, since I can't send a CTRL-ALT-DEL to NT 3.51.
However, I must admit that it is much faster when I connect at home
to my XWindows machine-mouse/dot tracking is right on (over a 10 Mbit
coax connection). But I guess that is the difference between
Windows and Linux versions of the server. Still, even if it is not
the fastest program on the planet, it sure is a great one!
