Once again:  Wrong.

PULL: You phone them they give you data

PUSH: Your phone is setup to automatically answer calls, and they call you. 
 Beyond the initial configuration of your phone, you do not need to be 
there.

I write network stacks, trust me push/pull is pure illusion. To take your
phone analogy

PULL: You phone them they give you data

PUSH:

Either:
	You phone them and tell them you are in. They then feed you data and
	its still your call

or

(eg microsoft channel stuff)
	You phone them every few minutes to ask what is new. They tell you
