While I am opposed to the idea of being able to look over someones shoulder
without their knowledge I can see that in the fields such as insurance it
may be necessary/law to record a transaction.
How about the following solution:
Create a privacy mode for vnc server.
That way the server can be disabled temporarily while the computer is being
used for personal use eg sending private email etc. When the user is doing
work that needs to be monitored then vnc could be reenabled.
The person running the viewer would just see a privacy message or grey
screen in his/her window.
Maybe the server could be more sophisticated and could just send a grey
screen from certain selected applications.
