WinVNC on NT returning unusable applet

WinVNC thinks that your PC has a zero-by-zero display size. This usually
indicates that it wasn't able to establish the screen size at all. When
you tried connecting remotely, was WinVNC running as an app or a service?
Was a screen-saver displayed or the machine locked in some way?
