Free X client for Win95?

You can do this using Xvnc - just run Xvnc on the Linux box and view the
Xvnc bitmap from the windows box using vncviewer.  This avoids the need
for a lot of software on the 95 box and benefits from being able to use
any fonts etc you already have setup for X on your Linux box.
